Every year in the first week of May\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Akshya Tritiya&#8221;,\u00a0<\/strong>Lord\u00a0Shani\u00a0Dev accompanies his sister\u00a0<strong>Yamuna<\/strong> to Yamunotri\u00a0and returns back to <strong>Kharsali<\/strong>\u00a0and again meets to bring her back on the<strong> &#8220;Bhai\u00a0Dooj&#8221;<\/strong> or<strong> &#8220;Yam<\/strong> <strong>Dwetiya&#8221; two days after dipawali <\/strong>it is also a day for Yamuna to meet her brother <strong>Yamraj<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0Architecture<\/strong><br \/>\nWho built this temple here at K<strong>harsali,<\/strong>\u00a0an<strong> inscription\u00a0on stone<\/strong>\u00a0on its wall could not be translated till now, locals believe it\u00a0is constructed by the<strong> Pandavas<\/strong>, looks more like\u00a0fort,\u00a0it is a <strong>stone and wooden four\u00a0story structure<\/strong>. The main structure is constructed in a way by using stones, wood\u00a0the <em><strong>Urad dal<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0or <em><strong>Vigna\u00a0mungo (<\/strong>botanical name<span style=\"color: #888888\"><strong> <a title=\"Lens culinaris\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lens_culinaris\"><span style=\"color: #888888\">Lens culinaris)<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/em>\u00a0is used as a part of mortar to fix the stones together. It has faced the mighty earthquakes and floods with no damage to the building since immortal time.
