<strong>idols of Nar and Narayan, Narad , Ganesha, Udhava, Narsimaha ( the forth incarnation of lord Vishnu) Ma Lakshmi\u00a0, Kuber and Garuda Nav Durga ( nine\u00a0incarnations\u00a0of Ma Durga )<\/strong> , before\u00a0entering\u00a0the temple pilgrims consider to have bath in the Tapt Kund just next to the main entrance .<br \/>\n<strong>Legend<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen Lord Badri was meditating here the Ma Lakshmi was standing next to him\u00a0sheltering the Lord from the harsh weather and turned into a Badri tree .<br \/>\nIt is said once <strong>Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati were in deep meditation<\/strong> here , a <strong>small child came crying\u00a0disturbing\u00a0the \u00a0Lord<\/strong> , Ma Parvati asked the child what he wanted , the child replied that <strong>he wanted the Badrinath for meditation<\/strong>, they\u00a0discovered\u00a0that this child was none other than Lord Narayan <strong>they left the place and moved to Kedarnath.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>In Bhagvat Puran<\/strong> it is said<strong> that Lord Vishnu in his incarnation as Rishi Nar and Narayan are in deep meditation for the welfare<\/strong> <strong>of all the living beings<\/strong>
