It\u00a0\u00a0was established by the great<strong> Lama Tsultim Nima<\/strong> in the year 1831. It belongs to the<strong> Gelukpa Order , <\/strong>there are about 40 monks live here , follow a strict rule of not\u00a0to have anything on their person, except for religious robes and books.\u00a0The monastery is also called <strong>\u201cthe paradise for meditation\u201d<\/strong> and is noted for its extremely strict rules and standards.<br \/>\n<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7153\/6581825397_bc668e6299.jpg?resize=500%2C333\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rizong Gompa, Monastery, Ladakh<\/p><\/div><br \/>\nThe Monastery was built in 1831 along with many shrines within it\u00a0\u00a0for which the villagers \u00a0provided voluntary labour and donations \u00a0during construction\u00a0\u00a0at a place known as<strong> Ri-rdzong<\/strong> since\u00a0the place had adequate water supply and fuel availability. \u00a0the monastery has three large chambers.
