It is the first temple in the Eastern Group of Temples The UNESCO World Heritage Site<br \/>\n<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Laxmana Temple Khajuraho<\/p><\/div><br \/>\nThe Temple is raised in the center of a high rectangular \u00a0platform <strong>Jagati<\/strong> \u00a0with four small temples one on each corner hence called a <strong>Panchyatana Plan<\/strong> construction , the temple structure is built consisting of all the elements of a <strong>Hindu Temple Architecture<\/strong> , <strong>The Lakshman Temple<\/strong> stands like a giant mountain of stone at the center.<strong>\u00a0The East facing temple<\/strong> , the porch has a pretty <strong>Toran or stone garland above the entrance<\/strong> leading to\u00a0\u00a0the <strong>Mandapa<\/strong>\u00a0 and then to the assembly area the <strong>Maha Mandapa , <\/strong>the main deity is installed in the <strong>Garbhagriha<\/strong>\u00a0, the small area between the <strong>Mahamandapa<\/strong> and the <strong>Garbhagriha<\/strong> is the<strong> Antrayalya<\/strong> \u00a0<strong>, <\/strong>the\u00a0devotees seek blessings standing in<strong> the Antrayalaya\u00a0\u00a0. <\/strong>Its<strong> Shikhara<\/strong> (<strong> the top<\/strong>)\u00a0is clustered<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>with small<strong> Urushringha .\u00a0<\/strong>The main\u00a0image Idol of<strong> Vaikantha Vishnu<\/strong> in the<strong> Garbahgriha\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0is with four arms and having three \u00a0faces , front is of a human , one side is Boar the third incarnation (<strong> the Varaha<\/strong>) and the other side is of a Lion the forth incarnation of the Lord out of the base as if they are carrying the weight of the stone on their stable shoulders,<\/strong> between the elephants are warriors protecting the temple , \u00a0panel depicts a bearded Fire God( Agni Dev) beneath is the figure of the divine bridegroom walking in procession accompanied by musicians.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>It is only here out of all the temples in Khajuraho the Camels are niches, with an adorable<strong> figure of dancing Lord Ganesh<\/strong> in the first followed by images of the <strong>seven principal male deities of the Hindu Gods<\/strong> .\u00a0There are images of the Dikhpalas placed at and facing the directions that they Protect .\u00a0Beside the deities are the gorgeous \u00a0figures of women, each engaged in some worldly activity before she realizes the
