To pay him a respect and in gratitude a city was founded by his name , initially wall was made to protect the area where sage <strong>Gwalipa<\/strong> lived , then <strong>Suraj Sen<\/strong> built a palace within the walled area upon the hill , slowly people started living around it .<br \/>\n<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3872\/14557793104_f58796f247.jpg?resize=500%2C333&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Water Pond where King Suraj Sen Leprosy was cured<\/p><\/div><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<div style=\"width: 343px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5521\/14372740000_f5f55fdcdc.jpg?resize=333%2C500&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"500\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Temple dedicated to Sage Gwalipa<\/p><\/div><br \/>\nAfter its establishment many different rulers came , ruled around and over it and became a prominent place for religion and cultural development .<strong> 6 BC<\/strong> it was under the <strong>control from Patliputra<\/strong> under <strong>Naad Kingdom<\/strong> , in first centenary <strong>Naag<\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>Dynesty Kushans<\/strong> came and ruled till 3rd AD , it was with <strong>Guptas<\/strong> till <strong>467 AD<\/strong> \u00a0and then<strong> Pratihar Dynesty<\/strong> ruled and made it <strong>capital of Kannauj<\/strong> till <strong>740 AD<\/strong> . <strong>Kachwahas<\/strong> were the rulers when <strong>Mohmmad Gauri<\/strong> invaded and plundered the area around it \u00a0but could not succeed to capture the fort in <strong>\u00a01195-96 AD<\/strong> , \u00a0It was<strong>\u00a0Shams Ud- Din Iltumish<\/strong> in <strong>1231 AD<\/strong>\u00a0after one year siege , succeeded and this fort came under the Muslim rulers .<br \/>\n<div style=\"width: 510px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/farm6.staticflickr.com\/5593\/14559364195_9df9af44e1.jpg?resize=500%2C333&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Man Mandir Palace , Fort Gwalior<\/p><\/div><br \/>\n<strong>Tomar Raja Veer Singh<\/strong> became the ruler in<strong> 1375 AD<\/strong> and during the <strong>Raja Man Singh<\/strong> the present <strong>Palace Man Mandir<\/strong> was constructed .
