\nThe different communities live in the \u00a0Kanoi village<\/strong> are \u00a0Rajputs , Suthars ( carpenters )<\/strong> take care of the daily simple need \u00a0machines \u00a0and tools in the village , the Kumhars ( potters )<\/strong> take care of the \u00a0supply of pots used in daily \u00a0house hold \u00a0jobs and making pots for carrying \u00a0water , few Brahaman ( Priest )<\/strong> community is also there .

\nThere are the Manganiyars<\/strong> who also call them self the Mirasi<\/strong> a Muslim community, patronized by the Royal families and the wealthy merchants families in North India for many generations.

Kalbelia girls and Manganiyars or Mirasis at Kanoi , Jaisalmer<\/p><\/div>
\nThey are the people who have protected the cultural heritage of <\/span>singing of Rajasthani Folk Music and also preserving their age old musical instruments<\/strong> like<\/span> Sarangi<\/strong> , <\/span>Kartal<\/strong> , <\/span>Bhopang<\/strong> , <\/span>Morchang<\/strong> , <\/span>Algoja<\/strong> ,<\/span> Dholak<\/strong> ,<\/span> Dhol<\/strong> ,<\/span> Kamaicha<\/strong> . Kanoi village<\/strong> is a nursery for the Manganiyars or Mirasis , <\/strong>they train the young boys in singing and playing the age old musical instruments , narrating the myths and fables, history and legends, of Kings and Conquerors, Sages , Sufis<\/strong> and Saints<\/strong> from the region.\u00a0Ladies are restricted they do only the household jobs they even feel shy in the presence of outsiders. It is only the Kalbelia ( Snake Charmers ) girls<\/strong> who accompany the musical groups for performances with Merasis or Maganiyars<\/strong><\/span>
\nKanoi village<\/strong> has produced the world fame Rajasthani Folk Singers and Musicians \u00a0Mr. Chandan Khan<\/strong>\u00a0and Sadak Khan<\/strong> earned world fame at Bharat Mahotsav in 1980 at Moscow and then many European Countries , tradition is carried forward by Mr. Jalal Khan and Mr. Khudu Khan and many more youngsters \u00a0.<\/strong>\u00a0Their music is complex and secular, its roots spread wide, though chiefly in Hindustani classical music . <\/strong>They have\u00a0traveled , entertained and\u00a0received \u00a0appreciations \u00a0\u00a0from \u00a0all over the world for their Music\u00a0.\u00a0<\/strong>
\nThe profession of people in Kanoi village<\/strong> beside the agriculture \u00a0is Animal Husbandry , Sheep, Goat , Camel and Cows which are the integral part of their life . The agriculture is depend on the rains , the villagers have dug the drains which collects the water when it rains and pour it in a series \u00a0underground water tank , this water is used for drinking and daily use
